Project Coordinator and Researcher // University of Oregon Research Practicum // January 2015 – Present

  • works in collaboration with local architecture firm, Rowell Brokaw Architects, on a research project entitled “Large Capacity Classroom Comparison Project”
  • studies how classroom geometry and quality affects teacher and student behavior through observation of lecture halls on campus
  • manages 15+ students participating in the research as part of their term project for Human Context of Design
  • coordinates meetings and correspondence with faculty advisors and other involved professionals

Project Assistant // Equity Community Builders // June 2010 – September 2013

  • researched and gathered information for due diligence and feasibility studies
  • created RFPs and RFQs for project consultants and contractors
  • reviewed contractor payment application, invoices and change orders
  • reviewed and compiled loan draw request documentation to be submitted to investors
  • worked with various city-level departments for permit applications and entitlements
  • assisted in the property management of two buildings after their construction
  • re-designed presentations and marketing materials, such as presentations, display boards and event handouts, etc.
  • instituted a more efficient file organization method for the company
  • projects worked on include: David Brower Center, Ed Roberts Campus, PG&E-YMCA Teen Center, Simpson Center for Girls, The Strand Theater
